Following our new Cornerstones approach to Curriculum, each term pupils across the school are encouraged to select and carry out tasks from the suggested list of project related activities for home learning.
Evidence of the tasks undertaken can be sent into school in whatever means is most appropriate, whether bringing in your finished products, taking photos or writing about your activities and experiences.
In addition, pupils will benefit from continuing to:
Additional set tasks may still be given for pupils to revisit and practice skills they have recently covered in class. This may be done as a whole class, or as targeted interventions for specific pupils working on specific next steps in learning.
If you are ever not sure about any aspect of the homework set, please ring, leave a message or email the office and I will respond to you as quickly as I am able to.
In light of the announced school closure from Friday 20th March, I am launching this term's innovate challenge online for completion at home. Open up the Innovate Challenge Board below and review the step-by-step guide to prepare and present your own 'Dragon's Den' style pitch for sponsorship or investment for a Victorian invention. Carry out research online, write and present your own explanation speech, and potentially video-record yourself delivering your case to a future audience (we'll work out how to send/bring them into school when we return for us to watch), rather than in-front of a live audience as was originally intended.
Use the link below to see examples of learning completed at home and shared using our new online platform Seesaw.
