Colours collide, melting together on the canvas: an impression of light, a rage of red, a lobster perched on a telephone. Come and find out about the bizarre and eccentric minds of the gallery rebels! Art can be an act of rebellion. Can you change the world with a paintbrush, a thought, or an idea? Dream the dream – or show us your nightmares! What do you see? Watches melting? Wheels spinning? A shark in a box? Can you express yourself without words? Well, a picture paints a thousand of them! Try your hand at a ‘Damien Hirst’ sculpture, exploring the weird and wonderful to create a curious treasure for the next generation. Take up your arms and fight for the cause. Paintbrushes and sketchbooks at the ready – let’s make art!
Using our new online platform Seesaw, we will be directing you to which tasks to do when from the Topic Overview. You can respond to posts and announcements to share your thoughts, ask your questions and upload your work to share with the myself and the class. I aim to update the class web page with examples of our learning this term from the things you send me.
A general reminder, as we would in school, to keep yourself safe online. Think carefully about the search terms used when carrying out research and question the reliability of sites by looking at their domain name before opening. Always ask permission and let an adult know what you are searching for; allow them to help you find what you are looking for. I have tried in the overview to give you some suitable examples of where to begin.
