In the afternoons, we have been talking about the recent news of Queen Elizabeth's passing. We have looked at photos of the Queen and what she enjoyed doing. The children have created stamps to remember the Queen and her beautiful corgis. Have a look at a selection of stamps below: 

We have been learning about The Great Fire of London in our Topic lessons. Our houses are close together and we have designed them to look like they are made of wood as that's what houses were like in 1666. Take a look at some of the houses we have been creating...

Following on from our learning about The Great Fire of London, Turtles Class made bread rolls in our own class bakery. 

We mixed flour, yeast, salt and warm water together, left the dough to rise for 10 minutes and then rolled them into sphere shapes. Miss Grimmett was then in charge of baking the bread rolls. 

Keep an eye out for the results...

Our bread has been baked! 

We ate half of a roll at school and took the rest home. 

The bread was tasty, crunchy, crumbly, soft and fluffy.
