Preventing Extremism

Our school follows the Government’s definition of extremism:

“Vocal or active opposition to fundamental British values, including democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of different faiths and beliefs; and/or calls for the death of members of our armed forces, whether in this country or overseas.”

We are committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all. Extremist views of any kind have no place in our school—whether they come from pupils, staff, governors, or external influences.

All staff receive regular training through the College of Policing’s Channel Programme, as recommended by the Government’s Prevent Strategy, to help identify and respond appropriately to any concerns.

If any parent or member of the community has concerns related to this matter, please contact the Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher.
