Information about our Governing Body
Capel-le-Ferne Primary School’s Governing Body operates under the ‘circle model’ of governance with a governing body comprising of 8 Governors. The circle model of governance means that there are only full governing body meetings, which all governors attend and there is only one committee. Responsibility for fulfilling the role of governors is shared between the committee members.
Each governor has one or more areas of responsibility and will visit the school regularly to monitor their nominated area/s and report their findings to the governing body.
As part of the schools’ leadership team, the role of the Governing Body is to ensure that standards remain high and that the school is moving forward to ensure that all pupils achieve their full potential.
