Starting Primary School- admissions for September 2027

Thank you for your interest in Capel-le-Ferne Primary School. Applications for transfer to primary school for reception year September 2027 will open on Friday 6th November 2026 and close on Friday 15th January 2027.

Choosing the right school for your child is a big decision, and we understand how important it is to get it right. That’s why we’ve carefully considered how best to provide you with the information you need to decide whether Capel-le-Ferne is the right fit for your child.

We aim to support you in making this decision by inviting you to attend one of our Open Mornings, giving you the opportunity to hear from myself about some key information about the school followed by a tour of the school in order to see it in action during a typical school day.

These sessions will take place on:

• Wednesday 4th November at 9:15am (HT talk) followed by school tours at 9:45am.
• Friday 27th November at 9:15am (HT talk) followed by school tours at 9:45am.
• Saturday 5th December at 10:00am (additional session. Please note: whilst the school will be open for a tour, it will not be a typical school day with all children present ).

If you would like to attend on one of these mornings, please contact the school office to book a place. This helps us manage numbers and ensure a smooth experience for everyone visiting.

During your visit, I’ll be available for any questions you may have. You’ll also be guided by our Year 6 pupils, who will offer their honest perspective on school life here at Capel-le-Ferne.
