Kew Gardens. What a brilliant day with our fantastic Turtles. We saw some enormous lily pads, visited the glass houses and found huge tropical trees, travelled a woodland trail and explored the pines trees and vast grounds.
Planting. As part of our topic on plants, we have planted sunflowers and runner beans. So far our highest sunflower reaches 101cm and our tallest runner bean is 130cm tall. Excellent growing and brilliant measuring Turtles!
Pond Dipping. We even found a newt!
We had a wonderful trip to the Dover Transport Museum, where we explored vehicles from the past. We 'drove' buses, and sat on the top, open air deck. We looked at bicycles from the past and motor bikes and even saw a Milk Float! We went inside the biggest steam train, and looked at a car building workshop. How can all this knowledge of the past inspire our vehicles of the future?
