Tour of the School for New Parents - Sept 2024 Admissions

New Yr R Parent Tours

Dear Parents/Carers,

Starting Primary School- admissions for September 2024

Thank you for your interest in Capel-le-Ferne Primary School. Applications for transfer to primary school for reception year in September 2024 will open on Friday 3rd November 2023 and close on Monday 15th January 2024.

I appreciate how tricky it is to make the choice on what school your child should attend so we have thought carefully about how best to give you the sort of information that will help you decide if Capel-le-Ferne is the best school for your child. One of the ways we will do this is through an open evening which will be held on Thursday 9Th November and Monday 13th November, at 6pm. This meeting is an opportunity for myself to talk to you about the school, how we approach educating your child and what their journey through primary education is likely to look like. There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end and will be more focused on supporting that decision making. This meeting will not include a school tour and is aimed at parents rather than children. You only need to attend one evening.

We will also be hosting 2 open mornings to give you the opportunity to look around the school and see it in its daily operation. These sessions will be held on Wednesday 15th November and Monday 20th November with arrival for 9.15 am. Please inform the school office should you wish to book a place on one of our tours so we can ensure we are aware of numbers moving around the school at any one time. During this visit, I will be available to answer any questions and you will meet children in Year 6 who will give their honest opinion of the school while showing you around the school.

I hope that you will be able to join us and we look forward to welcoming you to Capel-le-Ferne Primary School.

Yours sincerely,

Anthony Richards
