Term 5

School Days

Over Term 5 & 6 our topic will be 'School Days'. This project teaches children about their own school and locality, both today and in the past. They compare schooling in the Victorian era to their experiences today.

During Term 5 we will also have an art project called 'Street View' that teaches children about artwork depicting streets and buildings and focuses on the work of the American pop artist, James Rizzi. They create a 3-D mural based on Rizzi's work.

As of Term 5, our PE day will now be a Thursday. Please remember to come to school in your PE kits (white t-shirt, shorts/joggers and plain trainers).

On Wednesday 17th May 2023, we visited Dover Museum on a school trip. The children got a chance to look closely at different Victorian artefacts, explore the Museum and create fish using clay. Below are pictures of our clay fish that are currently drying ready to be painted. Keep your eyes peeled for pictures of the finished clay fish!

The children have now painted their clay fish and look how colourful they are!
