We hope that you will be able to join us for Sports Day tomorrow. We felt that it would be helpful to provide some information about the event.
The junior Sports Day will begin at 9:15AM. The infant event starts at 1:15 PM.
Both events feature the “Super Teams Challenge.” This is a house competition, where all the children tackle a series of events as a team. The stations will be set out around the field. Parents are very welcome to follow their child/children around the various events and cheer them on. We ask that parents stay behind the coned off perimeter, which will still be close enough for your vocal support!
Following the Super Teams Challenge, we will move onto the finals of the running races. Heats have already take place to decide the finalists. Parents should make their way to the running track which will be marked out just inside the fence-line. We ask that parents stand on the field side of the track to cheer on the children, and the children will be organised on the fence side of the track. (This is a more shaded area.) It is important that parents do not encroach on the track, or stand in the area immediately after the finish line.
At the end of each event we will be holding quick presentations for the winners of the Super Teams Challenge, and the individual finals. Following that we need to ensure that the children get back inside school to get changed safely, so please do not encourage the children to run across the track to greet their parents at this time.
The weather forecast is looking excellent at this stage! Please make sure that your child has a hat, and that sun-cream is applied before school. They will also need their water bottles.
Please listen out for any further announcements during the course of the events.
